SHEAR-OUT SAFETY JOINT

The shear-out safety joint is a safety device during well completion. In the event of an emergency or as required by the construction design, the top and bottom parts of the tool can be separated by lifting pipe string and cutting the shear pins to ensure that the top part of the tool and the tubing can be pulled out from the well.
