The RS Retrieving Tool is used for release and recovery of SHP and PCP packers. The tool is connected to the drill pipe and run by the tubing into the packer. The elastic jaw of the tool aligns the packer and snaps into the packer's internal anchor jaw teeth. Pull the string directly to release and retrieve the packer.
